My name is Jody Hood and I am the owner and creator of Jody Leigh Beauty + Jody Leigh Academy. I have been a licensed professional since 2016, and I officially created my company in 2018. It took me a while to navigate my career path. I went to a traditional college right out of high school for music education and after changing my major a number of times I decided to pack up and leave my hometown of Knoxville, TN to move to Nashville. I lived there for about 2 years and attended beauty school. I was the top of my class and one of the first estheticians of the school to win the Edwin Neill Full Potential Award. I have really been in love with the beauty industry as long as I can remember, but I realized at the “late” age of 25 that I finally found my career and have not looked back since!
